The Irish American Baseball Society is a non-profit subsidiary of Emerald Diamond International. The IABS supports youth baseball programs in Ireland and America and celebrates the historical Irish impact on the game of baseball.
One of the stated goals of the Irish American Baseball Society is to help Ireland get to the World Baseball Classic and the Olympics. To accomplish this goal, the society has formed the Irish Wolfhounds Baseball Club. The Wolfhounds are the world’s first All-Irish baseball club. The club roster consists of current and former college and professional baseball players and each player either has, or qualifies for, Irish citizenship.
The IABS has over 10,000 members in the US, Ireland, and Canada. There are free and paid membership options. Membership is open to anyone who has an interest and a love of baseball and Ireland, regardless of their baseball playing experience or ancestral origin.
